HOUSE OF BOUNCE

The WILD youth event House of Bounce was a GREAT SUCCESS. We had about 30 that made the trip to Joplin. We had a lot of fun bouncing. After 2 hours of bouncing we ended up at Chick-fil-a for dinner. Check out the Images.

Back to School Retreat

WILD youth ministries just got back from their Back to School Retreat. The Retreat was held at James River Retreat Center. The Retreat was well attended. God did some amazing things in the lives of our Teens. For Images click here.

WILD YOUTH RETREAT

This past Friday & Saturday the WILD Youth had their Spring Retreat. The Retreat that was scheduled to be held at Farlington State Park was moved to the church due to the weather not cooperating. We had a great time hanging out. We had some amazing worship sessions, and devotions. The discussion topic for the youth retreat was “Why do I hurt if God loves me” & “God are you there”. God did some awesome stuff in the hearts of our teens.

The weather did great after the retreat kicked off and we were able to have all our fun outdoor activities that we had planned. We played basketball (the WILD version); we went on a bike ride at the wilderness park in Frontenac, wow what an experience, Fishing at the PSU Lake and a lot more crazy games that you would need to attend one of our Youth events to experience. We also had some great food. BBQ Chicken, sausage and egg burritos, Sub Sandwiches, Yummy makes my mouth water. Overall it was a great time hanging out with all our crazy Teens and experiencing God’s presence. For Images Clik Here. 

WOW WHAT A WEEKEND - FINE ARTS

Wow what a weekend. God is good. He is doing something amazing in the lives of our Teens. We had 4 of our Teens qualify for national Fine Arts. Ashlee Hisey for songwriting, Baylee Hisey for Songwriting with the highest score in the state, Alvin Jackson for poetry with the highest score in the state & Jacob Peterson for Songwriting. We also received a Superior rating for Worship Team, Short sermon by Dustin Rakestraw, Graphic Design by Dolphin Sharma & Male Solo by Thaun Tran. I am proud of our Teens. It was followed by a fiery sermon by Dustin Rakestraw

we ended the night with the Worship Team

HEADING TO FINE ARTS

10 of our Teens and 3 sponsors are heading to Wichita KS tomorrow for the Fine Arts festival. This is the first time that the WILD youth ministries will be sending a team to fine arts. God is doing some amazing stuff in the lives of our Teens. He has blessed our Teens with some amazing talents. We have 3 Teens Ashlee H, Baylee H and Jacob P that are entering for Song Writing. Alvin J is entering for Poetry, Dustin R for Sort Sermon, Thun T for Solo & Dolphin S for Graphic Design. We also are entering for the category of Worship Team. I am excited for our Teens. 

PHONE BOOK DISTRIBUTION - FUND RAISER

The WILD youth kicked off their Phone book distribution project by bagging 4800 books in 2 hours. What a team. We will be distributing about 9000 phone books in Pittsburg to raise funds for "Speed the Light" and youth camp. LETS GO TEENS!

SPRING BREAK LOCK-IN

The WILD Youth Ministries had their Spring break Bowling night followed by a Lock-in this past

weekend. It was a well attended event. We had about 40 teens present. We were excited to see a lot of new faces. The Teens had a blast bowling. We then hug out at Freddy's frozen custard. We had our lock-in at the church. Bryan McClure our newest youth sponsor and his band led worship. We had an amazing night of worship and testimonies by our teens. We had 3 guest give their lives to God. Praise God. The rest of the night was crazy. Matt Hess organized a football game under lights at 1 in the morning. We had movies playing on the big screen, video games in class room 1&2. We had teens playing their instruments and singing. We had a lot of JUNK FOOD. We finally called it good at 8:30 in the morning with Sausage biscuts and OJ from McDonald's. WOW! What a night. If you were not there YOU MISSED OUT. For more images Click Here.

Valentine's Banquet

The WILD youth ministries organized the Valentine's Banquet at the parrot bey. This was a "Speed the Light" missions fundraiser. We had a night filled with romantic atmosphere which included music, food, dancing and door prizes. This event was well attended and was a great success. Thank you to all who helped and participated to make it a great missions fundraiser.

HOUSE OF BOUNCE

The WILD youth went WILD at the House of Bounce during our January road trip. We had about 25 teens that made the trip. We had some of our sponsors that had as much fun or even more fun that the teens. After we were done burning up tons of calories we headed over to Woody's Smoke House to fill up on some scrumptious BBQ. For more photos please click here
