MAKE A DIFFERENCE WEDNESDAY
Wow What a Wednesday night. The WILD Youth Teens came together at the ROTC gym to bag up 2000 items of food to feed the needy. This was a Wesley House project that we partnered with. The food items will be distributed to the needy in Crawford County on Thursday and Friday. This project was one of our “Make a Difference” Projects. I am so proud of our teens as they worked hard to make a difference. To see more images please click here.

YOUTH CONVENTION
It was a great weekend at Youth Convention. We had 31 make the tip to Wichita KS. We had a great time Friday afternoon hanging out at the Best Western. We had teens swimming, playing games, and hanging out with friends. Dinner was at the Cinnamon deli.
The evening service at convention was amazing. God moved in a very powerful way. Lives were being transformed. We had breakthroughs in the lives of our own teens. It was amazing to see teens hungry for God at the altars. The rest of the night was a blur. That’s right the teens had a blast I was ready for bed.
Saturday was different at youth convention. We put serving into action. We had a mini missions project with 1400 teens serving and loving strangers. We had 700 people from the surrounding community that showed up to the church. We loved on them by giving them free food, organized games for the kids, did face painting, gave away 10 bikes, and Convoy of Hope was on site and gave away 2000 bags of Groceries. It was a great event. 150 people got prayed for a 9 of them gave their lives to Christ. How awesome is that.
Saturday afternoon was a blast. There were tons of giveaways for the teens and a great celebration worship service. The afternoon ended with a God size challenge.
Every year we give towards a Speed the Light project. This year the project was to raise funds to help purchase a Convoy of Hope Trailer. Kansas had promised to raise $10,000 as one of their projects for 2011. We were going to kick start this project at convention by taking a speed the light offering. God worked a miracle and the teens experienced it. We raised $10,100 in one offering on Saturday evening. How amazing is that. Over all we had a great time at convention. We went expecting and experienced GOD.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE WEDNESDAY
Hi WILD Teens. Hope you are all having a great Monday. Hope you are getting your “Hands Dirty” by serving and loving people. Do not forget your challenge this week to show kindness to a person you would normally not hang out with.
This is also a reminder that this Wednesday is our Make a Difference Wednesday. With what you guys gave and the youth fund matching we are able to hand out 50 $5 gift cards. This is great news.
Please be in prayer for this Wednesday. Let’s ask God to use us to make an impact in someone’s life for his glory. Lets ask his to over flow in us so that people we touch see HIM through us. Let us make this more than JUST a Gift card giving outreach. Lets make it an outreach were seed are planted. YOU ARE NOT TOO YOUNG TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Come expecting to “Make A Difference”

MAKE A DIFFERENCE WEDNESDAY
Make a difference Wednesday is a WILD youth community outreach project. With this project teens and sponsors will be walking thru wal mart randomly handing out five-dollar wal mart gift cards to individuals and blessing them. We will also have a team of teens outside wal mart handing out hot chocolate to customers walking in and out of wal mart. We will be challenging every teen to give something in a form of a sacrifice to make a difference in someone else’s live in the next two weeks during our Wednesday night youth services. The church will match what come in from this special offering and use these funds to purchase the gift cards. We will be at wal mart on Wednesday the 3rd of November from 7pm to 8pm. LET’S MAKE A DIFFERENCE by shining Christ love thru our actions.
GET DIRTY
WILD Youth will be kicking off a new series this Wednesday - GET DIRTY
From the beginning, serving has involved getting dirty. God Himself got His hands dirty when He created man. Jesus got His hands dirty cleansing lepers and healing the sick. If we want to get involved in the life of Jesus, it means we expect to Get Dirty. It may be dangerous and will for sure be fun. It is impossible to serve from a safe distance. Let’s roll up our sleeves, dive into the lives of those who need Jesus and wash some dirty feet!

THE BIG T - Message Series
WILD Youth will be starting a new 3 week series called the BIG T. In this series we will be looking at Temptation and how to navigate and walk away from Temptation. Today’s generation is constantly being hammered with all forms of temptation and this would be a great series for all teens. I encourage all parents that have teens to get their teens to Youth Service on Wednesday at 7pm.
WILD COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT
The WILD youth Ministry was involved in two Community Service project this last Wednesday. The purpose of this was to put into action what we have been discussing the last 4 weeks on POURING out Christ love on others in the form of serving, sharing and giving.
We cleaned windows, floors, and water fountains at the Pittsburg High School. We also helped the Vie Medical Clinic clean up some construction debris on an expansion project they are working on. We ended our evening by spending time in pray in the hall ways of the High School praying for our schools. It was a great evening. To view images please click here.

MY APOLOGIES
Dear Family Life Assembly of God,
I would like to take a moment and explain what happened this past Wednesday. During my message, at youth service, I used an inappropriate word to make a point. This caught me off guard and should not have been used.
Let me be vey clear using this word was not a planned statement this was a spur of the moment spontaneous slip of the tongue. This is not who I am and it is not the kind of language I use on a daily basis.
I have diligently worked hard for the last 8 years to earn your trust and I am sorry if I may have let you down in the area of trust or respect. It is so important as a leader for me to keep my guard up at all times and I let it slide in this one case.
I am truly sorry for this and I promise that I will work hard at not letting this happen in the future. I am sorry if this caused any of you teens to be distracted or be miss lead in any way. This was not my intent. My only intent was to catch attention. I would like to convey my apologies to any that might have been offended and I would kindly ask you for your forgiveness.
I would like to keep our forces on all the good that God has been doing in this ministry and do not let this one incident cause any Glory be taken away from HIS workings.
Thanking You
Your Youth Leader

Avi Sharma's Thoughts - Youth Retreat
Michelle McClure's Thoughts - WILD RETREAT
Veronica Schooley's Thoughts - WILD RETREAT
During this past weekend at the Wild Retreat, I experienced the Holy Spirit moving through everyone especially when we all had the opportunity to write down our sins on a piece of paper and then nail them up on the cross and ask for forgiveness. During this weekend what stood out to me was that once we go to God and ask for forgiveness and throw away our baggage we all need to forget about our sins and leave them at the cross and not turn back to them because we are forgiven by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Austin Napier's Thoughts - WILD RETREAT
At the 2010 Youth Retreat, I experienced new closeness with my friends in WILD. We played games, we worshiped and we prayed together. My favorite thing was the worship! My brother and my sister also went and it was nice to hang out together with other teens and be friends without parents. Made us feel more like each others friends instead of just brothers and sister. The retreat helped me with my relationship with God, because I was away from TV and stuff and was able to focus more on Him.

YOUR BIBLE vs YOUR CELL PHONE
This will definitely make one think!
Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?
What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to Kids as gifts?
What if we used it when we traveled?
What if we used it in case of emergency?
This is something to make you go.....hmm...where is my Bible?
Oh, and one more thing.
Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being
disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill.
Makes you stop and think 'where are my priorities?
And no dropped calls!
When Jesus died on the cross, he was thinking of you!
WOW!! How Cool.

YOUTH CAMP 2010
Just got back for High School Camp "OVERFLOW". WOW what a week it was. God did some amazing thinks in the lives of our Teens. Lives were changed and hearts were softened. We had a great time with all the games and activities that were planned. The Guys team ended up winning the super team cup. The Girls team took second place. The most important think was that we had 6 teens that were refilled with the holy spirit and 3 teens heard Gods calling on their lives. This is what camp is all about.

WILD AIRSOFT
It was an crazy evening of Airsoft. We had about 30+ teens show up. The weather was hot and sticky. The teens were crazy and WILD. We ran out of Hot dog buns but had plenty of dogs. I was at the ER till 11pm with Matt Hess who had a war wound. That tree stump had no mercy on his leg. We had to wait about four hours for a doctor to show up and stitch his leg. Over all it was a great evening with Teens connecting with other Teens. For more Images Click Here.

FIVE NEW SALVATIONS!!
-Josh Troester
Last night at WILD Youth (4/14/2010) it was for sure a “WILD” night. Our Youth Pastor, Anthony was MIA because of a two-day hospital visit regarding some chest pains. After some not-so-fun test, Anthony was released with no life threatening issues. Praise God!
As 7 o’clock dawned a group of teenagers that numbered about 20 walked through the door. It appeared as if it was going to be a smaller group than normal, until about 20 MORE walked through at 7:05. Forty students plus ten adults packed into FLAG’s main auditorium in expectations of fun, great music, and God’s Word.
After Pastor Tyler did announcements and introduced visitors, we headed outside to play flag football. In a not-so-smart move, I decided to play after just having mouth surgery the day before, thinking that, “flag football is not a contact sport.” After taking two elbows to the face, I had to retreat to the bathroom as one of my stitches had come loose and caused a lot of bleeding. After I got back into the auditorium it was time to worship where The Hicey’s and Matt Compton tore it up on stage for worship.
With a painful mouth, but much excitement and anticipation I shared a message entitled, “A Faith to Die For.” I talked about the unreasonable request that God made to Abraham to sacrifice is only son Issac, how Abraham followed without questioning, and how God came through in the end. I paralleled this act to the very similar situation involving God and Jesus… a father giving up His Son willingly, and a Son giving up His life willingly… only this time no one stopped it, and there was no alternate sacrifice given. At the close of the service an invitation to those that had never accepted Christ was given. Five young people raised their hands and prayed a prayer along with the rest of the room to accept Christ for the very first time.
We celebrated briefly afterwards by applause and yelling, but trust me, Heaven was so much more excited. To those five teens: congratulations on your new decision to follow Christ. It’s only the first step… though a big one, to a great fulfilled life of serving our Creator. To everyone else: continue to bring your friends, continue to minister to them by being Christ to them, and help them find more and more of Christ each and everyday.
